GREAT BRITAIN. William III, 1694-1702. 5 Guineas, 1701 DECIMO TERTIO.
S-3456; Fr-310; KM-508. Second laureate bust right, finely engraved hair details (the "fine work"). Rv. Crowned cruciform shields with scepters in angles. Displaying superbly crafted portraiture, this is a quintessential Five Guineas type. Moderate circulation, but with Excellent hair details remaining. Though not quite up to very high standards of the two Law core sale coins (lot 20228 and 20229), very pleasing nonetheless and another important opportunity to obtain a lovely Law Collection 5 Guineas.
NGC EF-40.
