GREAT BRITAIN. Collection of Copper & Bronze Coins, ca. 1670-1950.
Approximately 90 pieces in lot. A strong representation of types and rulers, with many high grade and attractive pieces included. Would be a good basis for a collection or addition to a dealer stock. Highlights include attractive Cartwheel issues, as well as high grade coins of Victoria. A small number of contemporary counterfeit 1/2 Pence of George III (types struck to circulate in colonial America) are also mixed in. Some examples show original red color below the toning from long term paper storage. Close inspection in person is highly recommended and will pay dividends to the numismatist that prevails as high bidder. Approximate SCBC value in excess of £2,000. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
