GREAT BRITAIN. Lot of (4) Silver Dutchie Perpetual Challenge Cup Medals, ca. 1933-38.
65 x 84 mm, oval. 4 pieces in lot. Image of the award, a two-handled urn mounted on a pedestal surmounted by the figure of a bull, "THE DUTCHIE PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP" above, "FOUNDED 1921" below, the whole enclosed in a closed wreath of laurel; Reverse: In a similar wreath, "ROYAL NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY" is engraved, and the date and name of the winner. The 1933, 1934 and 1936 medals are to Charles A. Linzee-Gordon Esq. of Cluny Castle, and the 1938 is issued to Mrs. B Hood Linzee-Gordon of Cluny Castle. All (4) pieces are hallmarked on the edge and have a total weight of 503 gms. sterling. All are polished. EXTREMELY FINE.
