VESPASIAN, A.D. 69-79. AE As (9.95 gms), Lugdunum Mint.
cf.Ric-1233. Laureate head of Vespasian right; Reverse: Judaea seated near palm tree. The reverse appears to be overstruck on an Augustus AE As temple type. Multiple markers are clear especially in the lower right hand corner. A few edge bumps. Dark patina. Very interesting. VERY FINE.
From the Argo Collection.
