cf.Werlich-1099; Vernon-60; Romanov-31. Red enameled Maltese cross edges outlined in gold. Gold open work scrolls in angles of cross. The obverse central medallion depicts St. Anne in her red and blue vestments; Reverse: Central medallion with "ASPF" cypher. Loop suspension with hallmark a (female head right) 56, all within oval. On the top arm of the cross below the enamel is "BA" and on the lower arm an undetermined makers' name. Includes the cravat, but the ties have separated from the larger ribbon. In original red leather presentation box with gold Russian Imperial double-headed eagle stamped on lid. Box slightly broken. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
