Olaf Skotkonung (994-1022). cf.Malmer-602.1112; cf.Lagerquist-33. VERY RARE, bust left long cross type. Struck at the mint of Sigtuna shortly after its founding. The city of Sigtuna has an important place in Viking history as it is one of the only cities mentioned in the Viking Sagas. A few small peck marks. CHOICE VERY FINE.
