Approximately 108 pieces in lot. A diverse lot of coins from this interesting Empire. Includes: duchies, bishoprics, various states and possessions, including Lombardy (Italy); Salzburg; the Austrian Netherlands and others. Mostly milled coins, although there are a number of early hammered and rolled coins. Close inspection is highly recommended for those interested. Of the more interesting pieces is an 1848 5 Lire of Lombardy hollowed out and made into a "box Taler", containing an old photo of a gentleman wearing various orders and military decorations. Also contains a Bohemian 1/2 Taler. Retail value of about $1,200. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. GOOD-UNCIRCULATED.
