ATTICA. Athens. AR Tetradrachm (17.02 gms) ca. 454-404 B.C.
Svornos-pl. 14#13. Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right head facing, olive sprig and crescent moon behind, all within incuse square. A really nice example showing a full plume while only a touch of Athena's nose is off the planchet. The reverse is spectacularly centered with exceptional detail. Bright and lustrous. With only a hint of porosity behind the neck. NEARLY MINT STATE.
