46.3 mm; 35.6 gms. Christian Ludwig (1668-1706). Julius-241. By Gottlieb Lauffer. Battle scene with German eagle holding a city map, figure of Religion standing on crescent moon left; Reverse: Three shields, legend, "PYLEN EN DER VERLOSSINGE/TEGENS DE SYRIERS/2 : KON. X.III.V.17" below. Celebrating the victory at Gran and the expulsion of the Turks from the fortress of Neuheusel, edge inscription: "DIT DEEDEN DIE DRIE HELDEN 2.8 AM. 23 V. 17." Nicely toned. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
