GERMANY. German States. Collection of Copper & Silver Minor Coins, 18th Century.
Approximately 124 pieces in lot. An interesting survey collection with many different states, duchies, bishoprics, and principalities represented, as are many different historically interesting types. Pieces from Saxony have appeal to collectors of Polish coins. Of note are a pair of uniface Klippe minors of Braunau; Wildman pieces; city view minors; "stag" types of Stolberg; white horses of Brunswick. Some coins are MINT STATE and should be inspected by interested bidders. A good foundation for a collection or dealer stock. Mostly problem free examples, though some of the copper coins show encrustation or corrosion from improper storage. A great opportunity to add some hard to find minor coins to your holdings, as many of these coins rarely appear at auction. Approximate retail value of over $2,200. Be sure to spend some time and view this lot if you are interested in German States coinage of the 1700's. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. Mostly VERY FINE-EXTREMELY FINE, but grades range GOOD-UNCIRCULATED.

From the Demarete Collection.
