42x63mm silver, by Bottee. Obverse: Seated woman among symbols of Arts, Commerce and Industry. Reverse: More symbols; at bottom, a space for engraving a name. Given to one Carriere, who must be the symbolist painter and sometime sculptor Eugene Carriere, a great friend of Rodin and a founder of the National Society of Beaux-Arts. He profoundly influenced the medalist Ovide Yencesse, who signed a medal The Kiss of Peace as "after Carriere". NEARLY SUPERB MINT STATE.
