FRANCE. Alliance Francaise.
68mm silver, by Daniel-Dupuis. Obverse: France seated by tree, instructing small children representing Asia, America, Middle East and Africa. Reverse: Cartouche on open book. Designed 1894, but not struck until 1898. Often engraved, as intended, with dates of presentation into the 1930s, so this is a common medal, but very desirable in this, the largest size (and silver!). CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
