51x68mm silver, by A. Massoule. Obverse: Seated goddess with sword, holding a large shield over a reading youth. Reverse:1/2-wreath, rooster and an orb labeled FRANCE. Andre Paul Arthur Massoulle, 1851-1901, was primarily a sculptor. Many of his statues show figures with swords. Light marks, reverse field, otherwise CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE or better.
