EL SALVADOR. Banco Salvadoreno 25 Colones, ND (1924). P-S225s.
Specimen printed by W&S. This rare 25 Colones denomination is the first we
can recall handling for this larger format design. The note is seen with the
familiar woman with wheel vignette at the upper right and shows with pleasing
"25" counter at left surrounded by a multicolored guilloche. Black frame with
intricate geometric devices. Back seen in green with Columbus at center. Three
punch cancels and overprinted specimen along with a few minor stains mentioned
for accuracy. Overall extremely rare in any form and likely to garner strong
attention from bidders. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 Net. Previously Mounted, Stains.
