Sparre's Patent," with crest similar to upper right within "watermark" style security device. Hand accomplished signature at lower right of Sparre. A rare and important security printing advertisement printed in the style of a Bank of England note for presentation to potential clients and exhibiting his technological patents from his native Sweden. Sparre is associated with the first 1855 Swedish stamps engraving and printing. The first we have handled and consigned from a sophisticated collection of world and American security printing. Choice Extremely Fine.
