Saharanpur was ruled by the Marathas from 1788 until 1803 when the area was ceded to the British. The mint continued to operate for the next two years striking coins dated 1218 yr 45 and 1219 yr 46. There is no way as yet to distinguish any coins dated 1218 yr 45 struck by the Marathas from those struck by the British.
