Good Very Fine; a few minor cleaning marks. Extremely Rare.
From a private English collection.
Bestowed upon Constantine I and Maximinus II in AD 308 to placate them (Licinius I having achieved the rank of Augustus without having ever been Caesar, and indeed being promoted over Maximinus II), the title of Filius Augustorum (= Son of the Augusti) was swiftly dropped from the coinage as relations continued to deteriorate. Thus, coins such as the present piece are particularly rare.
