1. Macedon, Pella Æ 20mm. Circa 187-131 BC. Helmeted head of Roma to right / ΠEΛΛH[Σ], monogram above, monogram below, all within oak wreath. SNG ANS 581-583 var. (different monograms); HGC 3.1 610; cf. Künker 98, 1186 for same monograms. 9.67g, 20mm, 6h.

2. Macedon, Pella Æ 19mm. Circa 187-31 BC. Laureate head of Apollo to right / ΠEΛΛHΣ and monograms to either side of kithara. SNG ANS 588-589; HGC 3.1 621. 5.74g, 19mm, 3h.

3. Macedon, Thessalonika Æ 23mm. Circa 187-31 BC. Laureate head of Zeus to right / ΘEΣΣAΛONIKHΣ, eagle standing to right on thunder bolt. AMNG III/2, 16; SNG ANS 801-802; HGC 3.1, 729. 7.97g, 23mm, 12h.

4. Macedon, Thessalonika Æ As. Reduced Semuncial Standard. Circa 187-31 BC. Janiform head, I (mark of value) above / ΘEΣΣAΛONIKHΣ, two centaurs each rearing outwards from centre, each holding branch. AMNG III/2, 21; SNG ANS 804; HGC 3.1 743. 6.05g, 19mm, 6h.

5. Macedon, Thessalonika Æ 23mm. Pseudo-autonomous, reign of Commodus, AD 177-192. ΘЄϹϹΑΛΟΝЄIKЄΩN, turreted bust of city goddess to right, drapery on far shoulder / KABЄIPOC, Kabeirus standing to left, holding rhyton and hammer. RPC IV.1 Online 3489 (temporary); SNG ANS 812-813. 7.64g, 23mm, 12h.

6. Macedon, Koinon of Macedon Æ 26mm. Pseudo-autonomous issue, time of Gordian III, circa AD 238-244. AΛEΞANΔPɣ, diademed head of Alexander III 'the Great' to right / [KOI]NON ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ [B NЄ], rider on horse galloping to right. AMNG III, 575b. 7.46g, 26mm, 6h.

7. Macedon under Roman Rule, time of Aemilius Paullus Æ 19mm. Gaius Publilius, quaestor, circa 168-167 BC. Helmeted head of Athena to right / Cow grazing to right; [Γ]AIOΥ and monogram above, below, uncertain monogram, [TA]MIOΥ in exergue. MacKay pl. III, 5; HGC 3.2, 1118. 8.57g, 19mm, 11h.

8. Macedon under Roman Rule Æ 22mm. Circa 166-165 BC. Facing mask of Silenos wearing ivy wreath / MAKEΔONΩN in two lines, D above; all within ivy wreath. MacKay pl. Junius Silanus, these coins have been re-attributed to an earlier period of barbaric invasion following further scholarship and hoard analysis.
