Gordian III Æ 33mm of Pompeiopolis, Cilicia. Dated year 308 = AD 242/3. AVT K M ANT ΓOPΔIANOC CЄB, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust to right; Π-Π across fields / ΠOMΠHIOΠOΠOΛЄITΩN (sic!), Dionysus standing facing slightly to left, holding cantharus from which he pours libations, and thyrsus; HT (date) in left field, [panther] to left at feet. SNG Levante 894 (same dies); SNG BnF 1251 (same dies); RPC VII.2, 2964. 18.18g, 33mm, 12h.

Very Fine; some pitting. Very Rare.
