MUGHAL: Akbar I, 1556-1605, AR ½ rupee (5.60g), Jaunpur, AH976, KM-"79.x", Lid-S9 design, superb well-centered strike on broad planchet, EF, RRR. The half rupee is extremely rare for any issue of Akbar prior to the adoption of the Ilahi calendar (circa AH993). The style is identical to the full dirham of Jaunpur 976 listed by Liddle as his type S9.
