MUGHAL: Akbar I, 1556-1605, AV mohur (10.69g), Dar al-Khilafat Agra, AH981, KM-107.x, Lid-G7, elongated lozenge (mihrabi shape) / plain square, lovely strike on full flan, VF, RRR. Both Krause and Liddle indicate this type only for Ahmadabad mint, also dated AH981. Unlike the usual kalima mohurs of Akbar, this was struck with the full design and almost perfectly centered. Interestingly, the remarkable gold mehrabi mohur was also struck solely at Agra in AH981, and one might presume that this round mohur was a companion to the mehrabi.
