MUGHAL: Jahangir, 1605-1628, AR square rupee (11.25g), Agra, AH1025 year 11, KM-147.2, month of Tir, lovely strike, 2 testmarks, choice VF, R. Rupees of Jahangir are almost always round, with the only major exception a regular issue of Agra struck AH1020-1028, always with the date, regnal year and Iranian month. These were probably issued both for regular circulation and as nazarana gifts, as many surviving examples have been mounted for decorative or jewelry usage.
