MUGHAL: Shah Alam II, 1759-1806, AR rupee (11.19g), Ahmadabad, AH1201 year 28, KM-482, VF to EF, R, ex William F. Spengler Collection. This is not the common Ahmadshah in Gujarat but a locale in Uttar Pradesh, later the base of the brief usurper, Bedar Bakht. This was a one-year type, probably struck by the supporters of Shah Alam II and the British in anticipation of the rebellion of Bedar Bakht.
