Sicily, Syracuse, Second Deomcracy (c. 446-405 BC) AR Tetradrachm, c. 450 BC, 17.38g. Charioteer driving slow biga right, Nike above, crowning the horses, sea serpent below. Rev. Head of Arethusa facing right, wearing a necklace of pearls and surrounded by four dolphins. (Boehringer 559; SNG ANS 181; Pozzi 579). Good Very Fine.
