Almost Extremely Fine, a few minor marks – one below tip of Africa, original lustre in protected areas of field. Also, a little cabinet friction on very salient points.

Medallic Illustrations suggests this medal possibly refers to the dowry brought with Charles's marriage to Catherine, which laid the foundation of the British Empire in India. However, it more likely to refer to the acquisition of territory, notably in North America and Asia.
