George III (1760-1820), The Uncharitable Monopoliser white-metal penny/medal 1800, (unsigned but by J.G. Hancock for P. Kempson). Head l. with distended mouth attempting to swallow the world, rev. Eye of Providence above titled (coronet) hand dispensing largess to other hands below, 37mm/16.29gm. (DH 239; BHM 497). Some minor spots of oxidisation, otherwise good Extremely Fine with some original brilliance. Very Rare.

Probably issued to commemorate the general concern for the massive increase in the price of wheat due to a poor harvest that year and the great distress it caused.
