James I (1603-25), Half-Laurel, third coinage(1619-25), mintmark rose (1620-21), legend surrounds IACOBVS DG MA BRI FRA ET HI REX, fourth laureate draped and cuirassed bust left, value X behind for value of ten shillings. Rev, crowned quartered coat of arms over long cross fleury, reads HENRIC
VS ROSAS REGNA IACOB, 4.47g (S.2641A; N.2117; cf Schneider 90). Lustrous toning, mint bloom and brilliance visible both sides, portrait pleasing with comprehensive detail in the hair and lower bust, legends generally legible. Rev, excellent in the coat of arms with the only fade in the Irish harp, legends partialy legible About extremely fine with a bold initial strike. Pleasing natural colour, aesthetically pleasing.
