French Somaliland Banque de l'Indochine, Djibouti 100 Francs ND (ca. 1945) Pick Unlisted. Hand Drawn Essay From Pikovsky Printing Works. The creativity of the Pikovsky Printing Works again captures the the artwork and scenery of this country on the horn of Africa. On the face is two vignettes, an antelope at left and camel at right, both executed in green pencil. On back, the vignette of a girl herding goats fills the note from border to border in perfect artistic balance. Printer's annotations are noted in the right margin on face and in the margins at bottom on both front and back. These Hand Drawn Essays are plate photos on pages 183 up to 185 in Raphael Dabbah's Printed in Palestine reference book. Face and back measure 350mm x 202mm and 330mm x 200mm respectively.
