French Somaliland Banque de l'Indochine, Djibouti 1000 Francs ND (1945) Pick 18 PMG Very Fine 25 Net. After French Somaliland separated from German-occupied France, new banknotes were required. As war still ranged around the world, non-standard printers were tasked with preparing banknote for a variety of issuers. This attractive note is the highest denomination of the series printed in Palestine. We have offered this note only three times in the past, as it is quite scarce in any format. Restoration is mentioned by PMG, but it should also be noted that the visual appeal is quite good for the technical grade. While not pictured in Raphael Dabbah's Printed in Palestine reference book, it is listed in the census on page 313, which indicates this is one of three known.
