Iran Bank Melli 5; 10 Rials ND (1937-1938) Pick 32Aapm; 33apm Two Printer's Models PMG Choice Uncirculated 64; Choice About Unc 58 EPQ. An interesting pair of Printer's models featuring a superimposed image of Mohammed Reza in military garb on what appears to be a Specimen examples bearing his father Reza Shah. After the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran in 1941, the Reza Shah was forced to abdicate in favor of his son Mohammed Reza. One could speculate that these were presented as possible rushed design changes by TDLR to smoothly facilitate the update of the sitting monarch, but were ultimately never issued. This will be the first time that we have offered these varieties in this format.
