The collection in the following 91 lots was formed by Dr Edith Greenwood (†1987), who began collecting medals while working as a doctor in Berlin in the 1950s. She became a consultant opthalmologist and moved to Zurich, where she was employed in the city's Kantonsspital, while continuing to acquire medals. Dr Greenwood moved to England upon retirement but had ceased to collect by the late 1970s. Upon her death the collection was left to her son, who enjoyed it for many years but now sadly wishes to part with it on account of his advanced years
