At bottom of oval portrait, Sir Charles Gordon/Bank of Montrea/X-V-78/Canadian Bank Note Company Limited. A second Die Proof Vignette of W.A. Bog, with a slightly smaller portrait. (X-V-111). The vignette was used on the 1931, 1935 and 1938 issues of The Bank of Montreal.
