IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 11.93 g, 12h). Cistophoric standard. Dated CY 67 (68/7 BC). Cista mystica within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; above, palm frond between crossed cornucopias; to left, ΞZ (date) above ethnic; long torch to right. Kleiner, Dated 71; DCA 325. Toned, a hint of porosity, a few light scrapes and scratches. Near VF. Rare last dated issue of Cistophoric type from Ephesos.
