BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Menander I Soter. Circa 155-130 BC. AR Drachm (15.5mm, 2.22 g, 12h). Diademed heroic bust left, seen from behind, wearing aegis and brandishing spear / Athena Alkedimos advancing left, holding shield and thunderbolt; monogram to right. Bopearachchi 7B; HGC 12, 187 corr. (Athena right). Lightly toned, minor edge chip, some slight roughness, a few encrustations, a few minor reverse indentations. VF. A very clear gorgoneion on reverse.
