Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right; Є (denomination) in right field / Athena standing right, holding spear, facing Demeter standing left, holding torch, jointly sacrificing over altar between them; above, pomegranate. SNG BN –; RPC VIII Online 21154; SNG Pfälzer –. Green patina, porosity, small scratch on obverse. Fine. Very rare.
The reverse type was orginally a homonoia- "alliance" type for Side and Perga under Gordian III. See SNG France 859. This unrecorded variety keeps the main type but bears a standard Side legend.
