Domitian. AD 81-96. Fourrée Denarius (18.5mm, 3.20 g, 6h). Imitating a Rome mint issue of Domitian. IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM TR X (sic), laureate head right / COS V above, she-wolf standing left, head right, suckling the twins (Romulus and Remus); boat in exergue. Cf. RIC II.1 961 for rev. type. Toned, marks on obverse, surface bubble on reverse. VF. An interesting fourrée with an obverse mimicking an Augustus issue (albeit missing the P for Potestas) and a reverse imitating an earlier Caesar issue.
