Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.67 g, 6h). "Travel series" issue ("Provinces cycle") – The province alone. Rome mint. Struck circa AD 130-133. Laureate head right / Nilus reclining right, holding reed and cornucopia; hippopotamus to right, water below. RIC II.3 1543; RSC 991 var. (crocodile below). Lightly toned with some iridescence, scratches. Near VF.
