D N VAΛENTINIARVS PE ΛG (sic), pearl-diademed, helmeted, draped, and cuirassed bust right, holding spear and shield / Valentinian III and Theodosius II standing facing, each holding spear and supporting long cross between them; COИS. RIC X 461, note var. (obv. legend); LRBC 2232 var. (same). Brown patina, flan crack, chipped flan. VF. Rare type, and extremely rare with this obverse legend.
