From Lee Toone: "The 'banded' helmeted variety E2 (z) left variety is a new one. Not in RIC, I only became aware of it a couple of years ago and flagged it as a variant. Since then I have become aware of several examples from different dies with different reverses. Sometimes it has a row of pellets along the band, sometimes not. This one is a new reverse type and will make it into the 2nd edition whether as a variant or new type, I don't know yet."
