AKARNANIA. Medeion. Circa 350-300 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 19 mm, 4.85 g, 7 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΜΕ -ΦΙ Delphic tripod, decorated with sacrificial fillets, hanging from the outer rings . BCD Akarnania 340.12. Very rare, probably the best known example, clear and perfectly legible. Some corrosion damage on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
