MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 600-550 BC. Stater (Electrum, 20 mm, 15.99 g). Two tunny fish, one above the other, swimming in opposite directions. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Hurter & Liewald III 36 = Von Fritze 15 for a similar fraction with subsidiary symbols; otherwise, unpublished. Very rare - only the sixth example to appear at auction over the past generation; and with an interestingly double struck reverse punch. very fine.
