ΣΩTEIPA Head of Kore Soteira to left, her hair in a sphendone covered with a veil, wearing wreath of grain ears a pendant earring, and a simple simple necklace with a pendant. Rev. KY - ZI Head of a lion to left, with open jaws and protruding tongue; below, tunny swimming to left; in the field behind Kore's neck, ivy wreath. Pixodarus Type 2, Group E, 17-18 (same dies). Sandstrom Issue 8, 56 (O 35/R 37, same dies. Von Fritze II 23. Rare. An exceptionally well struck example, nicely centered on a broad flan, lightly toned, and of fine Classical style. Extremely fine.
