LESBOS. Mytilene. Circa 377-326 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.56 g, 12 h). Head of Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and fruits. Rev. Head of bald and bearded satyr facing; above to left, star; all in a square linear frame within s shallow incuse square. BMC 78 (same dies). Bodenstedt Em. 90 (dies h/ι). HGC 6, 1016. Extremely rare with the star on the reverse (only a single example in the British Museum was cited by Bodenstedt). Well-centered, lightly toned, and beautifully preserved. Extremely fine.
