Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 38 mm, 29.72 g, 12 h), Rome, 140-144. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III Laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right. Rev. GENIO SENATVS / S C Genius of the Senate standing left, holding branch in right hand and sceptr in left. BMC 1241. Cohen 400 corr (reverse legend). RIC 605. Well-centered on a very broad, medallion-like flan, with a noble portrait and a darkly golden-brown patina. Light roughness on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
