SICILY. Agyrion. Circa 420-405 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.26 g, 11 h). ΑΓΥΡΙΝ[ΑΙΟΝ] Young male head to right (possibly the local river god Chrysas). Rev. ΠΑΛΑΓΚΑΙΟΣ (barely readable) Forepart a man-headed bull, the river god Acheloös Palagkaios. Campana 3. Calciati 6/2 (same dies).Virzi 725 (same dies). Rare, and with an attractive brown patina. Good very fine.

The head on the obverse has very individualistic features, which suggest they were modelled on an actual person.
