ΑΥΤΟΚ Κ Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟC CEB Laureate and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to left, holding spear over shoulder in right hand and shield decorated with the head of Medusa on left arm. Rev. ΔΗΜΑΡΧ EΞ ΥΠΑ ΤΟ Β Eagle with wings spread standing facing, head left, holding wreath in beak; between legs, crescent above ram running left, head turned to look back. McAlee 885. Prieur 300. RPC VII.2, 3509. A lovely heroic bust type. Light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
