KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Stater (Gold, 21 mm, 8.46 g, 12 h), struck posthumously, Byzantium, circa 100 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander III to right, wearing horn of Ammon. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena Nikephoros seated to left, holding Nike in her extended right hand and resting her left elbow on a shield on her left; behind, transverse spear; in the inner field to left, monogram; on the throne, BY; in the exergue, trident to left.
