NAPLES: Joseph-Napoléon Bonaparte, 1806-1808, 1000 ducats, 1806, Cedola di credito (interest bearing note) with cancel pen marks dated 24 August 1806 and payable in 1808, EF Joseph Bonaparte, elder brother of Napoleon I, was installed as king of this French client state created by Napoelon. When Joseph became King of Spain in 1808, Napoleon appointed his brother-in-law Joachim Murat to take his place.
