The Società Coloniale Italiana was established in Milan in 1899 with the aim of relocating new Italian graduates to various corners of the world towards the goal of constructing future Italian commercial colonies. It is unclear when the Entebbe branch was established, though it likely was dissolved by the start of WWII, when the society's property in Kilindini, Mombasa was confiscated by the British government under the "Trading with the Enemy Ordinance 1939".
