UNITED STATES: Mexican Service Medal, 1911-1917, AE medal, with hanger as made, Navy version, an original issued medal with recipient's number 7392 punched on edge. The Mexican Service Medal was awarded for military service in Mexico between 1911 and 1919 during the Mexican Revolution. The medal was established for the Army on December 12th, 1917 and for the Navy on February 11th, 1918. Both versions depicts the San Juan de Ulúa fortress in Veracruz harbor and the annotation "MEXICO 1911-1917" on the obverse. The Naval version an eagle holding an anchor on the reverse while the Army version depicts a yucca plant.
